How to Upload a Floor Plan

1. Login to your Foyr Neo account on www.foyr.com or get an account simply by signing up.

2. Click on ‘Create Project’ as shown below.

3. Enter the name of your project and click on ‘Add Project’ and see the project list.

4. Your current project opens in a new tab.

5. Click on ‘Upload Floor Plan’ on the top right corner of the page.

6. Select floor plan from the desktop and click on ‘Open’.

Note: The floor plan needs to be in JPG(JPEG)/ PNG format only. If you have your floor plan in any other format like Autocad or PDF, you will need to export them first in an image format (or take a snapshot and save it) before using in Foyr Neo.

7. Crop the floor plan.

8. Enter the dimensions of your floor plan in the text box titled ‘Enter Line Size in Ft’ and click on ‘Done’.

Here, you need to enter Reference Dimensions. This helps the software to Scale the entire floor plan. For example, if you know that any wall of the imported floor plan is of 10 ft., adjust the two circles given to align with the wall and then enter 10 ft at the bottom text box. This will help the entire floor plan to be scaled automatically. This will ensure that when you trace and draw walls on top of this imported floor plan, they are of the right size.

9. Once you click on 'Done', the uploaded floor plan automatically gets shown on the canvas and the design mode changes to 'Background plan mode'.

10. To proceed with designing your floor plan, switch to the 'Floor plan mode'.

11. Use the Wall tool and Room tool to trace the floor plan.To know more about how to use the Wall and Room tool refer to the help guide titled “How to draw a floor plan using Wall tool or Room tool from scratch”.
