Overview of Context bar



What is a context bar?

Foyr Neo is the world’s best 3D design software to create 3D floor plans and renders. Let's now see how to navigate easily on the context bar.

Context bar is an intelligent menu in Foyr Neo.  This is the place where relevant menu items are shown, based on the context where the user currently is. For example, when you are in the floor plan/ 2D mode, you can see the wall tool. When you select an object or furniture, you can see action items relevant to manipulating the object properties.

The nib-shaped Wall tool helps you draw straight lines/walls on the floor plan. The tool also provides a text box for you to enter accurate wall length.

The Room tool helps you draw square or rectangular rooms on a floor plan. The tool also provides a text box for you to enter accurate room dimensions. For example, to create a room of 20 ft X 20 ft, simply draw a room using the Room tool and then enter 20, 20 in the two text boxes given next to the cursor.

The Select tool helps you pick and choose multiple items to either group or move together or perform operations which can be applied on all the selected items together.

Upload Floor Plan – This tool helps you upload your scanned floor plan onto the Neo canvas. Currently, Foyr NEO supports scanned images in JPG/ PNG format only. If you have your floor plan in any other format like Autocad or PDF, you will need to export them first in an image format (or take a snapshot and save it) before using in Foyr Neo. Once you upload the floor plan, this is an easy way for you to trace the floor plan and draw using the wall tool or room tool on top of the floor plan. With Neo, you can easily toggle between 2D and 3D floor plan.

Dynamic Features on Context Bar

When you click on one wall segment the context bar changes. Edit Properties: Change the wall height, thickness, length and colour with the option of Edit Properties.
                                                                                                                   

                                                                                                       

To make changes to a product added to the room

By clicking on any product added to the room, the Context bar changes to enable you to make edits to the product.
                                                                                                                        
The below options help in the following once you:

Clone – Duplicate one product to two, three or more using the Clone Tool.


                                                                                                                     


Rotate CW – Rotate any product clock-wise using this tool. 

                                                                                                                     

Rotate CCW - Rotate any product anti-clock-wise using this tool.

                                                                                                                     

Similar products – Find similar products from the Neo Catalogue.


                                                                                                                     

Delete – You can delete the selected product using this tool.

Edit Properties - Edit any product to change its length, height, width, rotate at a specific angle or flip horizontally or vertically.

Object concealer- You can hide objects of your choice before taking a render with the Object concealer button. First click on the button, followed by clicking on the object that you would want to hide. If you would like to bring your objects back, simply click on the hidden objects on the drop-down bar of the Object Concealer button.

Clip View- Use the Clip View tool to show the exact area you would want to make a render of.  Scroll on the horizontal scroll bar to select your area of view.

Aspect Ratio- Change the ratio of the render frame by selecting the aspect ratio from 1:1, 2:1, 4:3 and 16:9.

Camera height- Change the height of your view by scrolling the horizontal bar of the 'Camera Height' button. The corresponding height is shown in feet on the right.

Field of view- Change the open observable area that a person can see of your render by scrolling the horizontal bar of the Field of view button. On the extreme left is fish eye view while on the other end is telephoto views of your view.

Save view- You can save your selected view by simply clicking on the button, name your view and save it.
